WNYPolonia.com is a community portal to
promote and help unify online and real world information and resources
related to the Polish-American community in Western New York. From
2001-2004, the concept was developed by a core team of key people in the
Polonia community under the support of the Buffalo-Rzeszów Sister Cities
organization.
Kentropolis Web Development & Design, owned by one of the original team,
took over the project in 2005.
The new focus is on empowering the
organizations and leaders of Polonia by providing a vehicle for online
publishing of events, news, and other resources, as well as extensive
cross-promotion of other sites with such resources.
Promotion & Content Development
We are in the process of expanding strategic
partnerships with local Polonia organizations for the sharing of content and
cross-promotion. This currently includes spot ads for the site in Am-Pol
Eagle. Income from the first round of ad space and sponsorships will
provide funding for content expansion, including an expanded news section
with automated feeds to other web sites. Some of the funds will also
enable us to sponsor the annual Spring concert and have a booth at the
annual Polish Festival put on by one of our clients, the
Polish Union of America.
Please note, we are still using rates and options from
our 2005 Media
